Elmira Little Theatre is holding open auditions for The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, a hilarious and heartfelt comedy about friendship, resilience, and the bonds that last a lifetime.

Location: ELT Building

Dates: Tuesday, January 20, Wednesday, January 21, Thursday, January 22

Time: 6:00–8:00 PM

🎬 Audition Requirements

Prepare a 2–3 minute modern comedic or dramatic monologue of your choice

Be prepared for cold readings from the script during auditions

🎭 Available Roles - 5 Female Roles - Ages: 40–65

🎟 Performance Dates - April 17, 18, 19 & April 24, 25, 26

The Sweet Delilah Swim Club follows five former college swim teammates who reunite every August at their North Carolina beach cottage, Sweet Delilah, to reconnect—free from husbands, kids, and careers. Spanning four long weekends over three decades, the play explores laughter, meddling, arguments, and unconditional support as these women navigate love, marriage, divorce, parenting, aging, and life’s unexpected turns. When fate throws a wrench into one of their lives, their bond is put to the test—proving that teamwork and friendship only grow stronger with time.

How Our Auditions Work:

• Depending on the director, we may offer audition sign-up slots online
  
• Some auditions may be open-call (first-come, first-served)
  
• All audition requirements (sides, monologues, song prep, etc.) will be posted with each show announcement
  
• No experience? No problem—we welcome all community members!
